The Supreme Australian
Championships have been held annually since 1990 over six States. 
In 2011 the
Championships will be hosted on behalf of
The Australian
Sheepdog Workers Association by the West
Australian Working Sheep Dog Association
in the famous country town
of
Dowerin, in Western Australia.
Dowerin is situated 156 kilometres north east of Perth along the Pioneers Pathway which
runs from Goomalling to Merredin.

Entry to the Supreme is free until noon on Saturday, after which time tickets can be purchased at the gate
Also "The Rodeo will kick off at 5.00pm on Saturday the 17th of September, and will include a full program of Bull Rides, Saddle Bronc,
Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Rope & Tie, Steer Undecorating, Breakaway Roping and Team Roping, plus heaps of junior and local events,"
On Saturday night, there will be rides and amusements to entertain the kids, with live music cranking up at 9.00pm, once the rodeo winds up,
Then on Sunday, we have another big day planned, with sideshow alley, a vast range of family entertainment including animals nurseries, face painting

Currently [Thur 15th] the Open Championships are being judged with about 100 of 160 entries being completed.
The Novice, Improver and Open finals will be held on Sunday 18th Sept. The first round of the State Challenge has been run.

The week of the supreme will kick off on Monday the 12th September with the novice event.
The supreme itself will start at the conclusion of the novice event and should finish on Sunday the 18th September. (times will depend on the amount of entries)

Novice dogs may enter the Improver/Open but numbers of Novice dogs may be restricted from the Improver/Open event in the case of excessive numbers.
Before the supreme there will be a trial at Ballidu from Sept 1st - 4th hosted by Northern Districts Working Sheepdog Club (contact Grant Cooke...PH: (08) 9622 9609 Mob: 0427 229 809)
After the supreme the West Aust State Championships will be held at Cascades near Esperance Sept 22nd - 25th hosted by Esperance Working Sheepdog Club
